RSVSR What Changes in ARC Raiders Riven Tides Season End

There's been a weird habit in ARC Raiders for a while now: loot first, fight later, and pray your stash carries the season. A lot of players turned every run into a savings account, stacking coins, alloys, and anything else that might boost end-of-season value. That whole mindset looks shaky now. Once Riven Tides lands on April 28th, the smart move won't be sitting on resources. It'll be getting out there, using your gear, and making your runs count with ARC Raiders Items that actually see action instead of gathering dust in storage.

A new reason to take fights

The biggest change is simple, and honestly, it's overdue. Permanent Skill Points are no longer tied to dumping huge piles of loot into the system. This time, the Expedition pushes players toward the Damage Challenge. You want those five new Skill Points, you earn them by dealing damage. That means PvP matters more. Taking down ARC machines matters more. Even the way people kit themselves out is going to change fast. Folks who spent months hiding their best weapons will probably start bringing them into real matches, because there's finally a reason to stop playing scared.

Gold still matters, just not in the old way

That doesn't mean saved-up wealth is useless. Far from it. The new catch-up system gives older progression another shot, which is huge for anyone who missed past Expeditions and felt stuck behind veteran players. After finishing the current challenge, you can buy previous Skill Points back, though it's going to cost you. Around 300,000 Gold, or the same value in materials, for each point is no small ask. Still, at least there's a practical use for all that hoarding now. Instead of sitting on a giant pile of currency for bragging rights, players can turn it into actual build strength.

What you need to finish before the reset

There's also one thing people really shouldn't ignore before the update goes live: the Caravan project at base. If that's unfinished, you're not properly set for the Expedition. You'll need specific resources, mainly batteries and ARC alloys, so it's worth checking your stash now instead of scrambling at the last minute. Get it done and you'll carry over three important rewards in order: five new Skill Points, twelve permanent stash slots, and a set of cosmetics that includes items like the Scrappy Turban and Patchwork gear. Everything else is getting cleared out. Levels, blueprints, temporary storage, all of it goes.

The next season should feel a lot louder

What makes this update interesting isn't just the wipe or even the new Panorama Azzurro map. It's the shift in attitude the game is clearly pushing. Less passive farming, more pressure, more risk, more shots fired. You'll probably notice it almost immediately once players realise damage is the new path forward. The closing days before reset should be messy in the best way, with squads burning through saved weapons and finally treating ARC Raiders Items buy decisions like part of a real combat plan instead of some long-term vault strategy. That alone could make Riven Tides feel like a fresh start.
