U4GM Tips for ARC Raiders Rascal Blueprint Farming
You don't really “get” the Rascal until a Shredder stomps into your route and your squad stops joking on comms. That's where this Rare grenade launcher earns its keep. It isn't fancy like the Hullcracker, and nobody's pretending it is, but it does the job without making you feel sick about losing Exotic gear. Plenty of players would rather save their best kit for serious runs, then buy ARC Raiders Items or craft smarter loadouts around reliable mid-tier weapons. The Rascal fits that lane perfectly: strong enough for armored ARC targets, cheap enough that a bad extraction doesn't ruin your night.
Why players keep chasing it
The big appeal is simple. The Rascal punches through armor in a way most budget weapons just don't. Shredders, Bastions, and other heavy ARC units can turn a normal PvE run into a mess fast, especially if your team brought light weapons and crossed their fingers. With the Rascal, you've got room to breathe. You can crack plates, stagger pressure, and create openings for the rest of the squad. It's not a magic button, though. Miss your shots or fire too close, and you'll waste ammo or punish yourself. Still, once you learn the rhythm, it feels like one of the best value picks in the Rare tier.
The blueprint is the real problem
Here's the annoying part: you can't just stroll up to a trader and grab it. The Rascal blueprint lives inside the random loot pool, so some players see it early and others swear the game hates them. That's just how it goes. You'll also need a Level 3 Gunsmith before crafting even becomes an option, so don't ignore your workshop progress while you're hunting. A common mistake is checking every loose bag, shelf, and random scrap spot. Don't. If your goal is the blueprint, you're wasting time. Focus on Weapon Cases, Secure Lockers, Raider Caches, and Military Lockboxes. Hit them fast, reset, and go again.
When to run the search
Timing matters more than people want to admit. Day raids are fine for basic farming, but they're not where I'd spend hours chasing a Rare weapon plan. Hurricane Events are the sweet spot. When that emergency loot state kicks in, premium containers become much more worth your time, and that's exactly where you want to be. If there's no storm active, Night Raids are the backup plan. They're rough. Visibility is poor, ARC behavior feels nastier, and other raiders tend to play dirtier. Even so, the loot scaling makes the risk feel fair if you move with purpose instead of wandering around scared.
Best way to stay sane while farming
Pick a compact route, learn the container spawns, and leave the moment the run stops being profitable. That sounds boring, but it works. Don't fight every patrol. Don't loot every room. Bring enough gear to survive, not so much that dying tilts you off the game. If your squad is farming together, split nearby buildings and call out locked containers instead of stacking on one crate like tourists. The Rascal hunt can drag, so keep your economy healthy with cheap ARC Raiders Items when you need to rebuild between attempts, then get back into the rotation with a clear route and a lighter backpack.
