U4N: Where to Find Hidden Barns Across Forza Horizon 6 Japan Map

Forza Horizon 6 has officially dropped, trading the dusty deserts of Mexico for the neon-soaked streets, dense bamboo forests, and sweeping mountain passes of Japan. For longtime fans of the franchise, the arrival of a new map means one thing above all else: the hunt for Barn Finds is back on.

Playground Games didn’t just copy-paste the old mechanics into a new setting. In this edition, there are 15 hidden classic cars tucked away in dilapidated barns across Japan's 9 distinct biomes. However, you can’t just stumble into them by accident on day one. This time around, exploration is locked behind the new "Discover Japan" Stamp system, meaning you have to progress through 7 campaign levels to trigger the Barn Find rumors on your map.

If you are ready to hunt down some of the rarest JDM legends, track monsters, and historic rally weapons, here is exactly where to look.

The Low-Tier Stamps: Your First Taste of JDM Royalty

When you start out at Level 1 (Visitor) and move into Level 2 (Tourist), the game hands you your first three Barn Find rumors. These are arguably some of the most iconic vehicles in the entire lineup.

2005 Honda NSX-R GT (Level 1 - Yellow Stamp)

Your very first hunt takes you to the Ohtani region, situated near the iconic Kinkaku-ji Temple. The NSX-R GT is a legendary homologation special—only 5 real-world road cars were ever produced to satisfy Super GT racing requirements.

  • The Location: Head to the southern side of the Ohtani search zone. Look for a winding, inconspicuous gravel track heading west of the main road near the temple grounds. Follow this dirt path into the dense treeline, and the barn will trigger at the end of the trail.

1969 Toyota 2000GT (Level 2 - Green Stamp)

Widely regarded as Japan's first true supercar, only about 337 units of this gorgeous machine were ever built in reality. In Forza Horizon 6, it’s tucked away in the scenic coastal areas.

  • The Location: Travel to the Ito region, specifically looking toward the northeastern coastline. As you drive north on the main seaside road, look for a right-side exit pointing toward the beach. The barn is hidden right between a thick cluster of trees just before you hit the sand.

The Level 4 Grind: The Four-Barn Bottleneck

Once you hit Level 4 (Pathfinder), the game blows the doors wide open by dropping four Barn Find rumors simultaneously. This is where most players run into a wall because restoring multiple cars at once gets incredibly expensive and time-consuming.

Vehicle Region Unique Fact
1998 Nissan #23 Pennzoil NISMO Skyline GT-R Takashiro Iconic JGTC yellow livery; true track weapon
1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3 Ohtani / Tokyo Border The legendary "930" generation air-cooled turbo
1984 Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Shimanoyama Mid-engine, AWD Group B rally homologation beast
1962 Lincoln Continental Hokubu Classic American luxury barge with suicide doors

Hunting these down requires massive amounts of driving across vastly different biomes, from the high altitudes of Takashiro to the tight bamboo groves on the outskirts of Tokyo.

If you find yourself struggling to fund the restoration time or want to skip the queue entirely to fast-track your garage upgrades, you can use external platforms like U4N to buy cheap FH6 wheel spin bundles. Utilizing these extra spins is the fastest way to bypass the standard credit grind, giving you the millions in Horizon credits needed to instantly complete your barn restorations or pull rare Hypercars from the prize pool.

For those tracking down the Level 4 cars manually, keep a close eye out for the Peugeot 205 T16 in Shimanoyama. It sits right in the middle of a Speed Camera zone on the northeast corner of the search circle. You’ll need to follow a wide dirt track up a short hill where the barn sits in plain view.

The End-Game: Master Explorer Legends

If you manage to grind all the way to Level 6 (Adventurer) and Level 7 (Master Explorer), the game rewards you with the absolute pinnacles of automotive history.

1998 Nissan R390 GT1 (Level 6)

An ultra-rare road-legal version of Nissan's Le Mans race car.

  • The Location: Head to the Minamino region, right on the northeastern edge of the designated search zone. You’ll need to locate a narrow dirt track splitting off from the primary paved road. Follow it deep into the forest until the path terminates at an old, weathered structure.

1991 Mazda #55 Mazda 787B (Level 7)

The holy grail of the Horizon 6 Barn Finds. This quad-rotor monster is the famous rotary-powered race car that conquered Le Mans in 1991. It requires the maximum "Master Explorer" rank to unlock, meaning you will need to complete dozens of standard races, PR stunts, and map discoveries before the rumor even spawns.

Pro-Tips for Efficient Barn Hunting

  1. Use the Drone: The dense foliage, bamboo forests, and vertical mountain topography of the Japan map make spotting barns from the driver's seat much harder than in past games. When you enter a purple search zone, pull over and launch your Drone Mode to scout the area from above.

  2. Double Up on Treasures: Keep your eyes peeled for standard Treasure Chests while hunting barns. For example, when hunting the Pennzoil Skyline GT-R in the U-shaped valley of Takashiro, there is a hidden treasure car/chest located just a few hundred yards away near the local waterfall. Missing it means driving all the way back up the mountain later.
