If your drives fly low and drop quickly, your golf shaft could be part of the reason. Its bend profile, flex, and weight can influence how you deliver the club at impact and, in turn, your launch angle. A lower kick point is often associated with a higher ball flight. However, kick point alone cannot predict your results. A shaft that is too stiff may be harder to load, while a lighter shaft may help some golfers gain speed. The right combination depends on your swing and should still give you good control and consistent contact. Before replacing your shaft, also check your driver loft, ball position, attack angle, and where the ball strikes the clubface. These can all affect launch. The best shaft is one that helps your swing produce a better flight consistently.
