The commercial viability and therapeutic efficacy of any botanical oil depend heavily on the methods used to extract it from the source material. Supercritical CO2 extraction is emerging as a highly promising alternative. This state-of-the-art technique utilizes carbon dioxide in a fluid state (achieved through precise pressure and temperature control) to act as a highly efficient, non-toxic solvent. Supercritical CO2 permeates the seed material, extracting the oil with exceptional precision. Once the pressure is released, the CO2 evaporates completely, leaving behind an incredibly pure, solvent-free, and nutrient-dense Ximenia oil.

While the initial capital investment for supercritical CO2 machinery is high, the process significantly enhances oil yield and ensures absolute purity, making it highly attractive for premium pharmaceutical-grade applications.
